What to know
Ulysse Nardin’s Freak ONE reference 2405-500-2A/3D turns conventional watch construction inside out. Its mechanism functions as the time display: a flying carousel orbits the dial over an hour, replacing the traditional minute hand, while the hour indication rotates beneath it. There is no standard dial, no normal pair of hands and no crown. This reference’s dark construction is framed by rose-gold-toned elements and a black textured rubber strap.
Inside, automatic calibre UN-240 combines silicon technologies with DIAMonSIL components and Ulysse Nardin’s Grinder winding system. The manufacturer now specifies a 90-hour power reserve. This reference dates to the Freak ONE’s 2023 introduction, not a new 2026 launch. It remains a powerful example of movement architecture serving as both the engineering and visual identity of a watch.
