What to know

Farer has developed a reputation for colour combinations that feel unusually adventurous without losing their sense of purpose. The Racing Chronograph Volante is a persuasive example: a sky-blue dial, pale counters, yellow timing segment and orange chronograph hand turn a familiar racing-watch layout into something unmistakably individual.

The case measures a compact 38mm, recalling the early hand-wound motorsport chronographs of the 1960s. A ceramic twelve-hour bezel introduces another practical scale, while luminous hands, markers and bezel details make the design useful away from daylight. The recessed three-register dial records running seconds, elapsed minutes and elapsed hours.

Farer selected the manually wound Sellita SW510M b, rated for 63 hours of power reserve, with a sapphire display back revealing its finishing. Water resistance is 100 metres. The result is not a literal remake of a historic racing watch but a modern interpretation that understands why colourful instrument dials remain appealing.
